Cadbury Schweppes plc announced today its intention to acquire the
outstanding 49% minority in its subsidiary Cadbury India Limited
through a voluntary offer of 500 Rupees per share in cash, subject
to statut ory approval. This offer values the minority at
£128 million (8,749 million Rupees).
Cadbury Schweppes plc today reported that, excluding the impact of
acquisitions, volumes for its US beverage operations were 2% ahead
in the third quarter of 2001.

Sunderland reviewed the results for 2000, and made the following
